Public consultation on the Newton and Biggin Neighbourhood Plan runs from 21 August to 13 November 2026
The neighbourhood plan has been prepared by Newton and Biggin Parish Council in consultation with the local community.
Once 'made' (adopted), a neighbourhood plan is used in the consideration and determination of planning applications within the neighbourhood area.
The plan was submitted to Rugby Borough Council on 14 July 2026 for public consultation in accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.
The public consultation was launched on Friday 21 August and has now been extended by six weeks after the appendices which form part of the neighbourhood plan document were omitted in error when the consultation documents were published on the council's website.
The consultation now closes at 5pm on 13 November 2026.
