Peace of mind, 24 hours a day

Lifeline is our personal alarm service, helping you feel safe and supported in your home.

With one simple press of a button, you can speak directly to our trained team in the council’s 24-hour control centre, 365 days a year.

How Lifeline works

Lifeline connects your home directly to our control centre.

You can raise an alert by:

  • pressing the button on your Lifeline unit
  • using your lightweight pendant, worn around your neck, wrist, or attached to clothing

When you activate Lifeline, you’ll speak to a trained operator who will:

  • contact someone you trust
  • arrange help
  • organise an urgent visit to your home if needed

Who Lifeline is for

Lifeline can support you if you:

  • live alone and want added reassurance
  • have a health condition
  • have a disability
  • want to maintain your independence with reassurance in place

Important: phone line changes
If you use Lifeline, changes to your phone or broadband service can affect how it works.

Contact us if you:

  • change your provider
  • plan to change provider
  • are asked to switch to a digital service

This helps us make sure your Lifeline continues to work when you need it.
