Public consultation on the Newton and Biggin Neighbourhood Plan runs from 21 August to 2 October 2026
The neighbourhood plan has been prepared by Newton and Biggin Parish Council in consultation with the local community.
Once 'made' (adopted), a neighbourhood plan is used in the consideration and determination of planning applications within the neighbourhood area.
The plan was submitted to Rugby Borough Council on 14 July 2026 for public consultation in accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.
The six-week public consultation runs from Friday 21 August to Friday 2 October 2026.

You can make written representations on the Newton and Biggin Neighbourhood Plan by:

Representations must be received by 5pm on Friday 2 October 2026.
On your representation, you can request to be notified of the Local Planning Authority's decision under Regulation 19 in relation to the adoption of the neighbourhood plan.
What happens next?
An independent examiner will be appointed to review the neighbourhood plan.
All representations received during the public consultation will be sent to the examiner for consideration.
