Independent Living Schemes
Independent Living Schemes are council homes for people aged 50 and over who want to live independently in a safe, well‑managed environment with regular contact and reassurance.
The council currently manages around 47 schemes, located in various areas across Rugby, with a good number in or near the town centre.
The schemes offer:
- Self-contained accommodation
- Communal spaces for social activities
- Contact from Independent Living Coordinator (ILC), as agreed with each tenant
- Access to Lifeline services

- People aged 50 and over
- Those who want to remain independent, with the reassurance of scheduled contact and a community setting
