Main modifications

The public consultation on the Local Plan post-examination hearing main modifications closed at 5pm on Friday 5 October

Following the examination hearings earlier this year, the Inspector wrote to the council in May 2018 to advise main modifications to the submitted Rugby Borough Local Plan were necessary to make the plan legally compliant and sound.

In response to the Inspector's letter, the council has prepared a schedule of main modifications to the plan, which has been published for public consultation.

The consultation runs from Tuesday 14 August until 5pm Friday 5 October.

The main modifications have been subject to an updated Habitat Regulations Assessment and Sustainability Appraisal. Representations on both documents can be made during the consultation.

Minor modifications and Equalities Impact Assessment

The public consultation on the Local Plan post-examination hearing main modifications closed at 5pm on Friday 5 October

In addition to the main modifications, the council has also published a schedule of minor modifications.

Minor modifications include corrections to typographical errors and updated factual information, and we have published the schedule of minor modifications for clarity and completeness.

The minor modifications do not affect the soundness of the Local Plan and, as such, do not form part of the public consultation.

Equalities Impact Assessment

We have also published an updated Equalities Impact Assessment and a schedule of modifications made to the assessment. The original Equalities Impact Assessment can be downloaded from the examination library.

The updated assessment, an evidence base document, does not form part of the public consultation but has been published for information only.

Policies maps

The public consultation on the Local Plan post-examination hearing main modifications closed at 5pm on Friday 5 October

The main modifications have necessitated a number of modifications to the policies maps published during the preparation of the Local Plan. We have published the revised policies maps, together with a schedule of the changes.

Please note, while representations on the revised policies maps can be made during the public consultation, the representations cannot be considered by the Planning Inspector due to the fact the policies maps do not form part of the development plan.
