Rugby’s Food and Drink Festival is back on the menu

The Rugby Spring Food and Drink Festival returns on Saturday 25 April, from 11am to 5pm in Rugby town centre.
The free event, organised by Rugby Borough Council, will take place in and around Regent Street and offers visitors a tempting array of delicious food and drink stalls, family entertainment and music.
Visitors can take the opportunity to stroll around in the spring sunshine while enjoying the range of delights on offer, from local businesses, farms and producers. There will be more than 50 stalls to choose from, from hot-steamed dumplings, loaded tacos, churros to chocolate brownies.
With something to satisfy every craving, from sweet to savoury, residents will be able to bring friends, family and their appetite for a true spring celebration.
As well as food and drink, there will be live music from local bands. The event will also offer traditional woodworking sessions, where skilled woodcarvers and turners will give residents the opportunity to have a go at wood turning, chiselling and carving spoons or spatulas.
Children can enjoy face painting, food art and an opportunity to test their knowledge with a food and drink quiz.
Tom Kittendorf, Rugby Borough Council’s Assistant Director for Leisure and Wellbeing, said: “As always, the event has proved very popular with stallholders and is now fully booked.
“The festival provides a great opportunity for local businesses and start-ups to showcase the excellent food offerings we have in Rugby and surrounding areas.
“Several thousand people are expected to attend the festival, which will have a significant impact on the town centre economy, through increased footfall and raising awareness of town centre businesses.”
