Sandbags

Rugby Borough Council do not have a statutory duty to provide sandbags and the performance of sandbags can be variable. Sandbags and sand can be acquired at local builders’ merchants and some parish councils may have also have a stock.

If you cannot get sandbags, consider using plastic bags or pillow cases filled with soil or sand. Warwickshire County Council highways may be able to provide sandbags if flooding is from the highways.

The Environment Agency has produced a guide to using sandbags for flood protection.
