Due to a technical issue, council tax and business rates payments set to be paid by Direct Debit today (Thursday 1 May) will now be paid tomorrow (Friday 2 May).

Current projects
Officers and the Town Centre Regeneration Working Group have taken the Rugby Regeneration Strategy and devised 19 short, medium and long term workstreams, with a focus on short to medium term actions. The workstreams cover a broad spectrum of subjects from development sites and public realm to health and sustainable transport.
Currently there are a number of live projects including:
- Public Realm Masterplan – more details
- Place Marketing Consultants have been commissioned and are undertaking work to understand the identity of Rugby.
- A Vacant Shop Audit is underway which will identify the reasons for vacancy rates within the Town Centre and provide an action plan to decrease the vacancy rates in Rugby.
- A Shop Front Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) is to be consulted on imminently which will provide guidance for shop front design, especially within the Town Centre Conservation Area.
