Direct Debit payments
Due to a technical issue, council tax and business rates payments set to be paid by Direct Debit today (Thursday 1 May) will now be paid tomorrow (Friday 2 May).

Rugby Borough Council, at a meeting of full council on 14 December 2022, decided to make the Brinklow Neighbourhood Plan under Section 38A(4) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (as amended).
The Brinklow Neighbourhood Plan now forms part of the Development Plan for Rugby borough and will be taken into account in local planning decisions.
A referendum on the Brinklow Neighbourhood Plan took place on Tuesday 15 November 2022.
The referendum asked the following question:
'Do you want Rugby Borough Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Brinklow to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?'

The examiner's report on the Brinklow Neighbourhood Plan has recommended the plan proceeds to a referendum, subject to modifications.

The Brinklow Neighbourhood Development Plan was submitted to Rugby Borough Council on 18 January 2022.
A public consultation on the plan, run in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning General Regulations 2012 (Regulation 16), ran from Tuesday 8 February to Tuesday 22 March 2022.

Following consultation with the statutory consultees it has been determined a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) will not be required for the Neighbourhood Plan.

Brinklow Parish Council submitted an application to Rugby Borough Council for the designation of the parish as a Neighbourhood Area under the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 in June 2016.
Subject to the designation of the Neighbourhood Area, the parish council intends to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan to help shape the future development of the village.
