Housing Benefit payments
Due to a technical issue, monthly Housing Benefit payments set to be paid yesterday (Thursday 31 July) and today (Friday 1 August) will now be paid by Tuesday (5 August).

Illegal encampments on private land
The landowner has responsibility for illegal encampments on private land.
The landowner can obtain authority from the courts to evict.
We can only take action against the landowner if the illegal encampment breaches planning legislation or licensing laws.
