Revitalising Rugby Town Centre

Rugby Borough Council has published a ten-year delivery plan to revitalise Rugby town centre - turning ambition into action.

The Rugby Town Centre Delivery Plan details projects to improve key town centre sites, public spaces, events, the outdoor market, and support for businesses and empty shots.

The delivery plan also includes work being undertaken to shape the future of the Rugby Central shopping centre, the creation of a cultural quarter, improvements to the route between the Clock Tower and Old Market Place, and the creation of a new public space to host community events.

The council has also published a Rugby Town Centre Social Value Framework, committing the council to plan town centre projects with wider benefits in mind, such as local jobs, skills, support for small businesses, health and wellbeing, climate action and new opportunities for community organisations.
