Tenants spearhead fund-raising drive for Myton Hospice

Tenants from Stacey Court and Harold Cox Place raised a grand total of £350 for Myton Hospice with support from the Woodlands community.

The tenants at the council's independent living schemes organised a raffle, bring and buy sale, coin table and cake stall for the fund-raiser at Stacey Court community room.

Woodlands businesses, including the Premier store and Woodlands Post Office, backed the event, together with residents from the estate.

A cheque for £350 has now been presented to Myton Hospice, which offers compassionate end of life care for residents across Coventry and Warwickshire at hospices based in Rugby, Coventry and Warwick.

The charity needs to raise more than £9 million a year to provide its services. For more information, visit the Myton Hospice website.
