Direct Debit - the simple way to pay

You can set up your Direct Debit payments online and let us do all the work for you.

You can choose when you pay your business rates instalments and we give you at least 14 days notice of any changes to the amount you pay and when - giving you time to query your bill, if necessary.

Your business rates bill tells you whether you have an existing Direct Debit set up with us, together with the amount of each instalment.

And remember, the Direct Debit Guarantee protects all your payments.

Sign up for Direct Debit

You just need your business rates account number (printed at the top of your bill or on your online business rates account) and your bank account sort code and account number.

You can choose to pay your monthly instalment on either the 1st, 12th, 19th or 26th of the month.

And you can spread the payment of your monthly instalment to weekly, fortnightly or four-weekly (payments taken from your nominated bank account on Mondays).

Remember, you do not need to set up a new Direct Debit every time you get a new bill - we update the payments for you.
