Business Support Organisations
Rugby Borough Council works with various business organisations across the county to deliver business programmes, events and support to our business base. The following are our key partners:
- Warwickshire Business Growth Service – This is the new service which has been in place since the 1st April 2026. Businesses can explore the new website with access to support and guidance from a wide range of services across the county council and partners including skills, property, access to finance, trading Standards and business support from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The new service provides a single route for businesses to discover the types of support available and understand what they need based on their needs and goals.

- Warwickshire Skills Hub - This is Warwickshire County Council’s skills team, who support businesses, schools and communities to meet the needs of Warwickshire’s evolving economy by supporting towards a well skilled population.
The Warwickshire Skills Hub offers a wide variety of business skills support and programmes to create skills plans, source new talent and promote businesses to those who might be seeking employment and career opportunities.

- Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce - A membership service offering a wide variety of support to help businesses of every size and sector through different support programmes, a large bank of resources, regular events with experts, local networking and more.

- Federation of Small Businesses – Another membership service dedicated to supporting small businesses with networking, events, learning through webinars with experts and discounts for members on business protection essentials.
Further benefits to the FSB membership include access to a 24/7 legal and employment helpline, an online legal library for documents and templates, built-in tax protection, and more.

- TSOS Unity Hub – Currently based in a refurbished suite in Rugby’s town hall, the hub is your gateway to free resources, professional guidance, and networking opportunities. The hub offers support to businesses from opportunities through work experience for employees, to advice on business fundamentals and programmes.
The hub, although situated within the town hall, is separate to the council and was set up with the driving force that people and businesses should be able to access the support and advice they need to thrive, in one accessible place. The Unity Hub is local, and exclusive to the Rugby community.

- The King’s Trust – Formally known as the Prince’s trust, this is an organisation that support young people aged 16 to 30 getting into education, work or start a business. They deliver various programmes including the Enterprise programme which is specifically designed to support business ideas through training, mentoring as well as funding and resources.

Funding Support
For funding support, whether this is for self-funding or combined with grant funding, Coventry and Warwickshire Reinvestment Fund are a not for profit and are funding partners with Warwickshire County Council CRWT
They support:
- Pre-start businesses and entrepreneurs with ideas
- Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to grow
- Businesses that have been turned down by high street banks
- Social enterprises and community-focused organisations
- Businesses in underserved communities across our region
