Rugby Borough Council is a non-constituent member of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA). The WCMA is a group of local authorities and local enterprise partnerships working together to move powers from the government to the region and its locally elected politicians.

Rugby Borough Council will still deliver its services and retain its identity, but will work with the WMCA on the big decisions that affect the area.
