Our hunts are suitable for ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Archaeologist Hunt 

Tuesday 20th July – Saturday 14th August

A must for all mini Archaeologists. Can you find all the model relics hidden around the building?

Postcard Hunt

Tuesday 17th August - Saturday 4th September

Find all the postcards hidden around the building.




Sensory Splat

Mondays July 26, August 2, 9, 16, 23 

Suitable for 6 months to 3 years

£5.60 per child

Our sensory exploration classes will explore colour, shape and texture and will encourage your baby's development through hands on activities that are sure to amuse and delight.  Spare clothing recommended.


Mindful Mondays

August 9 -  Nature Drawing 

August 23 -  Clay Sculptures 

1.30- 2.30pm - 8-13 years

In this calming workshop Jemma from Calm Space will lead you through relaxing and guided breathing to help you reflect and connect with the gallery art. Feeling inspired and relaxed you will then create some mindful artwork of your own.


Sustaining Hope - Giant Willow Weaving At St Andrews Church

Let nature inspire you and help us build a large natural artwork using found resources. 



Construction Zone

Tuesdays 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 August - 10am-12pm

Suitable for 2-6 years

Help us create a Mini Rugby in our construction zone and Duplo® play sessions. These session will allow children to develop their imagination and creativity whilst encouraging problem solving, physical development and communication skills. 


We have borrowed some fabulous resources from our friends 'Pop Up Play Village Rugby'…lets get building.

Giant Alphabet Art

Tuesday 27 July  10pm - 3pm                 

Help us create gaint letters inspired by the A-Z of Rugby’s Social History Collection, using a variety of print and paint mark making methods.   


Outdoor Explorers

Tuesdays 10, 17, 24, 31 August - 2pm-3pm

You and your little explorer can learn and discover about the natural environment using Outdoor Explorer bags borrowed from our friends 'Pop Up Play Village Rugby'. As well as exploring outside, there will be a nature craft to complete inside!



Large Scale Open Play

Wednesdays 21, 28 July, 4, 11, 18, 25 August and 1 September 10am-12pm

Build, Imagine, explore and create

Children can allow their imaginations to run wild and let their creativity take them any where they like. 


National Play Day

Wednesday 4 August 10-4 -  Whitehall Recreation ground

Our team will be hosting art and craft activities at the Rugby Borough Council Play Rangers event.  



Make & Take

Thursdays 22, 29 July, 5, 12, 19, 26 August and 2 September - 10.30am - 12.30pm

Each week make a different craft inspired by our exhibitions and collections.

A self-led morning of sketching in the exhibition space. Sketching materials provided and worksheets for inspiration, or bring along your own sketchbook!

Board games

Fridays 30 July, 6, 13, 20, 27 August and 3 September 1.30pm - 4.30pm

Test your skills at Twister or challenge your friends and family to an outrageous game of Cranium. Lots of games to choose from in these sessions. Book in advance to avoid disappointment, limited space to allow social distancing.                

All ages . Maximum of 6 people per table. 



Clay Mosaics

Friday 23 and Saturday 24 July 10am - 12pm

Celebrate the CBA 2021 Festival of Archaeology, which this year is all about exploring local places. Join us at this two day event and take part in Roman inspired crafts, an Archaeologist's hunt and learn about the local site of Tripontium.



Outdoor Pop Up Play

Saturdays 31 July, 7, 14, 21, 28 August and 4 September 10.30am-12.30pm

Fun, energetic pop up outdoor play, where we will playing around with chalk, giant bubbles and making music.
