From Tuesday 20 July, we will no longer be operating a booking system for general admission. However, please be aware that you may have to queue at busy times. 


Over the Summer the art gallery will be closed to the public at the following times for our Relaxed Sessions

Wednesday 28 July 4-5pm, Saturday 7 August 10-11am Wednesday 11 August 4.5pm

The Archaeology Gallery will be closed on

Saturday 21 August 10-11am 


To ensure entry at your preferred time slot please book your visit via the link below. We can also book you in on arrival, however you may have to wait for an available slot.  Please do not visit if you feel unwell.

Each booking will give access to a group of up to 6 people. The group can consist of friends and family you do not live with. If you have a larger group please contact us in advance of your visit.

The gallery will be closed to the public on Saturday 7 and 21 August 10-11am for our Relaxed Sessions. 


The gallery is usually closed on a Sunday. However, we have two special Sunday opening dates - July 4th and July 11th to enable as many people as possible to see our current exhibition before it closes on 11th July. 

Visitors are required to where face coverings in all areas of the building.

A one-way system is in operation around the building. Social distancing floor markers are in place to guide you. We have also taken extra hygiene measures: 

  • Hand sanitiser stations 
  • Enhanced cleaning regimes  
  • Contactless payment in the shop

NHS Track and Trace

When you book a ticket online, you will be required to register on our booking system. This is essential for you to receive your ticket and to manage future bookings, should you wish to re-visit. Furthermore, in line with government guidance, the personal details you provide as part of booking may be used to support the NHS Track and Trace process. 

If you book in person with a member of staff, you will be offered a system registration for the purposes outlined above. Should you wish to decline, we will only record essential contact tracing details; these will be kept for 21 days to ensure they can be passed on to the NHS Track and Trace scheme if necessary.



We have no dedicated car park however the ASDA carpark is next door to us. The cost is £2 for 3 hours (redeemable if you spend £5 in store).

The closest all day parking to Rugby Art Gallery and Museum would be Westway car park which is £5 for up to 11 hours.

There is also a multi-storey car park located in Rugby Central Shopping Centre. Further details on their opening times and fees can be found on their website.

From the M6/Lutterworth: Head south on the A426 into Rugby town centre. Continue under the railway bridge and straight across the roundabout onto Corporation Street. Rugby Art Gallery and Museum is on the left.

From the M1/Crick: Head west on the A5 and at the first roundabout turn onto the A428. Continue into Rugby town centre along Hillmorton Road and into Lawrence Sheriff Street. Follow the road until the gyratory/large roundabout. Follow directions for the M6/Leicester all the way round the gyratory until you join Corporation Street, which is a dual carriageway. Rugby Art Gallery and Museum is on the right.

From the M45: Exit onto A45 and exit at next junction following signs for A4071 towards Rugby. Continue on the A4071 into Rugby town centre (Bilton Road) until you join Corporation Street, which is a dual carriageway. Rugby Art Gallery and Museum is on the right.

A45 Coventry: Exit onto the A4071 and then the B4642 into Rugby town centre until you join Corporation Street, which is a dual carriageway. Rugby Art Gallery and Museum is on the right.

Alternatively, there are taxis or a regular bus service from Rugby Train Station to us here at the Rugby Art Gallery and Museum. 

Exit the train station and cross over the crossing onto the opposite side of the road then cross over the main road there is a bus shelter for a  number 4 bus route. Ask to go to Asda then get off just past Asda carpark we are the building directly in front of you.
