Inspired by the much-loved animated film The Snowman and The Snowdog, the sequel to Raymond Briggs' classic picture book The Snowman, the trail takes you on a Christmas tour of the town centre to discover all your favourite characters, presented and built by BRICKLIVE.

The interactive trail features 16 wonderful toy brick models, including four large-scale models perfect for memorable photo opportunities and 12 smaller models, all made from brightly coloured toy bricks.

Starting at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum, you can pick up your trail map and set off on a festive adventure, finding all 16 models featured in various locations in the town centre.

On the way, you can answer a question inspired by each model and on completing the trail, you can return your answers to Rugby Visitor Centre, where you can enter a draw for the chance to win one of a range of trail-inspired prizes.

The Snowman and The Snowdog BRICKLIVE trail opens this Saturday (27 November) and runs all the way through to 3 January.

Cllr Jill Simpson-Vince, Rugby Borough Council portfolio holder for growth and investment, said: "The Snowman and The Snowdog BRICKLIVE trail promises to bring a little Christmas magic to the town centre and provides a perfect companion for Rugby Art Gallery and Museum's Brick by Brick exhibition, which features a wide range of art created from LEGO®.

"The trail forms part of our winter programme of events funded by the Government's Welcome Back Fund, which aims to support the town centre's economic recovery from the pandemic, and we still have a few more surprises to come in the run-up to Christmas."

The Welcome Back Fund has distributed money from the European Regional Development Fund.
