The wreath has been laid at a specially designated spot located inside the main gates of Caldecott Park in Rugby.

The message reads: "With deepest condolences, on behalf of the citizens of the borough of Rugby. Cllr William H Lewis, Mayor of Rugby."

Residents may add their own floral tributes if they wish. Floral tributes may be laid or observed during normal opening hours at Caldecott Park. Residents are asked to keep at least 2m apart from anyone they don’t live with and return another time if the area is busy. The tribute area will be overseen by Rugby Borough Council’s Community Wardens.

A book of condolence has also been opened for residents to add their own messages.

Residents may contribute to the book of condolence online at www.rugby.gov.uk, or by posting their tribute to Book of Condolence, Rugby Borough Council, Town Hall, Rugby CV21 2RR. Messages will be transcribed into a bound book to be gifted to the social history collection at the Rugby Art Gallery and Museum.
