Be Inspired at leisure centre's second birthday celebration
THE Queen's Diamond Jubilee Centre celebrates its second birthday later this month by offering a host of free sporting activities.
The centre stages a Be Inspired event on Sunday 30 August, giving
visitors the chance to have a go at a range of sports, including
swimming, climbing, netball, basketball and dodgeball.
Visitors can receive tips and advice from centre staff and coaches from
local sports clubs, while youngsters can have fun on a bouncy castle.
The event, which runs from 11am to 3pm, has been organised by Better,
the UK's largest leisure provider, which has run the Queen's Diamond
Jubilee Centre since it opened.
Nicola Boyd, the centre's general manager, said: "The aim of the event
is to inspire families to try new sports and also see what local clubs
in Rugby have to offer.
"We hope everyone will come along and have some fun."
Visitors can enjoy a free swim at Be Inspired from 1pm to 3pm.
