Rugby Private Sector Housing Charter and the Rugby Private Renters' Charter
The Rugby Private Sector Housing Charter sets out the standard of accommodation which every private renter in the borough has the right to expect.
The full charter aims to help landlords to provide private rented housing which meets all regulatory and legislative requirements, while giving tenants information on legal rights, minimum standards and who to contact for help.
We update the charter regularly to reflect changes to legislation and guidance.
We have also produced the Rugby Private Renters' Charter, which summarises the information contained in the housing charter for tenants, setting out the standards the law demands from all private landlords and letting agents.
If you rent a room, a flat or a house in the borough, Rugby Borough Council and all partner organisations signed up to the charter aim to make sure your landlord meets the standards.
