On Track, formerly Positive Futures, is a social inclusion project run by Rugby Borough Council. We have been working in conjunction with Rugby schools to deliver a number of services since 2009. Currently we offer boxing, climbing, multisport and football sessions, as well as mentoring and alternative education programmes.
Our staff base of trained coaches, instructors and mentors aim to support schools in a number of areas. Sport coaching can be delivered as a fun activity or as an accredited course, enhancing mental and physical wellbeing. Mentoring and alternative education programmes seek to address specific pupil behaviour and remove barriers which prevent them recognising their potential. This will allow them to make the transition back into mainstream education.
Schools we have worked with:
- Boughton Leigh Junior School
- Oakfield Primary School
- St Maries RC Junior School
- Northlands Junior School
- Newbold Riverside Primary School
- The Avon Valley School and Performing Arts College.
