Nominations for the Rugby Sports Awards 2022
Every year, Rugby Borough Council and the GLL Sport Foundation team up to recognise and reward the borough’s most dedicated and talented sports people.
To celebrate the achievements people have made in 2022, the Rugby Sports Awards take place at the BENN Hall on Wednesday 29 March 2023.
We're now welcoming nominations for this year's awards. So whether you know a dedicated coach or sports club volunteer, an inspirational sporting individual or a team which has raised the bar throughout the year, we want to hear from you.
You can make nominations in the following categories (click on the award to view the criteria):
- Mark Gallagher Memorial Award for Coach of the Year Award
- Club of the Year Award
- The Unsung Hero ‘Volunteer’ Award - sponsored by Warwickshire CAVA
- Sportsman of the Year Award
- Sportswoman of the Year Award
- The Lifetime Achievement Award
- Excellence in Sport Award
- Simon Warwood Memorial Award for Young Team of the Year
- Young Volunteer of the Year Award - sponsored by Rugby Rokeby Lions
- Young Sports Person of the Year Award
- Primary School of the Year

Nominations must be received by Friday 3 March.
All entries shortlisted for an award will receive an invitation to the awards ceremony at BENN Hall on Wednesday 29 March 2023.
