To vote in the local elections taking place on Thursday 4 May, you must register by 11.59pm on Monday 17 April.
By law, everyone aged 18-years-old and over must register to vote. You must register yourself. You cannot allow a 'head of household' to register everyone who lives at an address.
If you change your name or move house, you must register to vote again.
You need to provide your National Insurance number and date of birth when you register. This makes the electoral register more secure.
