Help with small repairs and maintenance jobs
The Independent Living Team at RBC People, a division of Rugby Borough Council, provides a low cost, reliable service for people in the Rugby area. If you are aged over 60 or receiving disability allowance we can help with the following:
- Fitting grab rails and key safes
- Fitting smoke alarms
- Minor plaster work
- Household repairs
- Small carpentry jobs
- Unblocking sinks, replacing toilet seats
- Fitting mirrors, shelves, curtain poles
- Small decorating jobs
- Repairing and painting fences and gates
- Garden maintenance and clearance


Low cost tradespeople you can trust
The RBC Handy Person service has been developed by Rugby Borough Council to support independent living for Rugby Borough Council residents.
Therefore, we aim to keep our charges as low as possible. The cost is just £20 per hour plus materials. We then charge per half an hour. We will always provide a free quotation prior to undertaking any work.
