Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Living with Covid-19

The Government removed the remaining Covid-19 restrictions in England on 1 April 2022.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations remain the best defence we have against Covid-19.

You can book a vaccination appointment online via the NHS website.

Testing and staying at home

Free testing for Covid-19 ended for the general population in England on 1 April 2022.

If you still want to get tested and you're ineligible for a free NHS test, you can buy tests from a number of pharmacies and retailers, both in-store and online.

Visit the NHS website for more information on testing

If you have symptoms of Covid-19 or have returned a positive test for the virus, the NHS advises you to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for at least five days.

Visit the NHS website for more information about what to do if you have Covid-19 or symptoms of Covid-19

Help to reduce the spread

We all have a role to play in helping to reduce the spread of Covid-19 and protect people at the highest risk from the virus.

The Government advises you to:

  • get vaccinated
  • let fresh air in if meeting others indoors
  • practice good hygiene - wash your hands, cover your coughs and sneezes, clean your surroundings frequently
  • wear a face covering or face mask, especially in crowded and enclosed spaces
