Local businesses have an opportunity to secure work associated with the building of a new leisure centre in Rugby.
They are being invited to meet the main contractor at a Meet The Buyer Event at the Warwickshire College next week.
National contractor Shepherd Construction has been appointed by Rugby Borough Council to deliver the Queen's Diamond Jubilee leisure centre on Bruce Williams Way.
With work now underway, Shepherd Construction is holding the Meet The Buyer event at the Morgan Suite, Rugby Centre, Warwickshire College on 4 April between 6pm and 8pm and is keen to engage with local tradespeople, material and equipment suppliers and fit-out specialists to discuss the potential opportunities that will arise as the construction programme gets underway.
Peter Millett, Shepherd Constructions managing director for the West Division commented: There will be opportunities for product and equipment suppliers, subcontractors and other ancillary businesses as the project progresses so the meet the buyer event is a prime chance to discuss how local firms can help us deliver such a prestigious project.
