Supporting People is a Government programme for providing a better quality of life for vulnerable people, helping them to live more independently in their own homes.We fund other organisations to deliver housing support services. These will support people to live in their own home, either in the community or in specialist schemes. They will also help people secure and maintain a home after being homeless, in hospital or prison. People leaving institutional environments can be helped to make the switch to independent living.These services will also help prevent problems that can lead to hospitalisation, institutional care, custody, eviction and homelessness.
