If your bins are due to be collected on Good Friday or Easter Monday please present them for collection as normal. Our offices are closed until 9am on Tuesday 22 April.
When is it due and how to pay
Council Tax is a yearly charge that we normally ask you to pay over ten instalments beginning in April, unless other arrangements have been made.
From April 2013 you may pay over 12 monthly instalments (April-March) provided you ask us in writing or by email, before 16 April. All payments in future years will continue over 12 monthly instalments.
We will always give you 14 days notice before instalments are due to begin, your Council Tax bill clearly states the instalment dates and the amounts you need to pay to clear the bill in the year.
You can pay your Council Tax in a number of ways, the Councils preferred method is by Direct Debit.
Alternatively you can pay by cash, cheque or credit/debit card.
You can pay your Council Tax free of charge at any Post Office or retail outlet displaying the Payzone sign.
You will need to have a bill showing a barcode on the front.
Please contact the Revenues Service if your bill does not have a barcode printed on the front and you need one.
Please do not put cash in the post or through the Town Hall letterbox.

Your account reference number must be quoted.
Please note that we do not accept post-dated cheques. Do not send cash in the post
