Rugby Borough Council maintains 4 cemeteries on behalf of the residents, and is working towards the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management 'Charter for the Bereaved' as the benchmark for its services.

This ensures that we carry out duties in a sensitive and dignified way, which acknowledges the needs of the bereaved at a very difficult time.

Each of our cemeteries is different in character, and has an interesting background.

Rugby Borough Council is also responsible for maintaining six closed churchyards. These are:
  • St. Andrew's Parish Church and gardens
  • St. Oswald's, Bilton
  • St. Margaret's Wolston
  • Clifton Churchyard
  • St. Michael's and All Angels, Brownsover
  • St. John the Baptist, Brinklow

The Cemeteries Office is situated at Hunter's Lane Works Services Unit, where there is a small amount of visitor parking.

If you wish to call at the office in person, please contact the Cemetery Officer to make an appointment.
