A facility available from Rugby Borough Council is the opportunity for businesses to pay their Business Rates over a 10 month period.  This can help businesses' cashflow.

SME invoices paid within 10 days

The Council understands the difficulties which are caused by the non-payment of invoices and will endeavour to pay all invoices to small businesses within a 10 day period.

Encouraging SMEs in the Borough to bid for Council contracts

The Council is anxious to encourage small companies to bid for Rugby Borough Council contracts and are making it easier for local businesses to take part in the process.

Advice from the professionals

It is vital that small businesses address the issue of payments for services.  Therefore a debt solicitor is being made available to businesses each Wednesday to give advice to any small company about debt recovery. An accountant may also be available.

The Borough Council, along with partner agencies, are hosting a range of business help seminars and workshops in the coming months.

Professional guest speakers are being invited to talk to local businesses at the regular events.

Entrepreneurs with the germ of a great business idea are being offered the chance to take part in a free one-day workshop.
