The Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Service
The broad theme of a Visitor Attraction can range from pure fun to high culture. It can include historic houses, castles, farm attractions, country parks, museums and theme parks. When looking for a place to visit, Visit Britain's Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance service can help.
Participating attractions are visited annually by trained, impartial assessors. The assessment is an unannounced visit, which takes place, at any time when the attraction is open to the public. The assessor will sample all aspects of the 'visitor experience', from initial telephone enquiries to departure. The assessor will use all facilities and sample activities such as guided tours, demonstrations, film shows, as well as catering, retail and toilet facilities.
Only those attractions which have been assessed by Visit Britain and meet the standard receive the quality marque.
Within the Borough of Rugby, the following tourist attractions have the Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance accreditation.
