About the museum
From the moment you walk into the museum, displays are designed to stimulate your curiosity.
Steering you through Rugby's history going back more than 2,000 years. What is the story behind the school cap? How does the spark plug fit in with the heritage of Rugby? What was life like for Roman residents?
As you walk through the museum, you can share the enthusiasm of the Victorian antiquarian Matthew Bloxam, who began to unravel the mysteries of Roman Tripontium.

In the Social History Gallery, reflect on the ups and downs of Rugby at work, at home and in the community over the past 200 years.
The Museum is situated on the first floor and aims to:
"collect and preserve the natural and cultural heritage of the Borough and to generate a greater understanding of the Borough's past through displays, and the creation of an accessible and user friendly archive"
