Get Digging!

Heritage Open Days fun in the museum

Saturday 11 September, 10.30am-12.30pm

FREE

Get digging and become an archaeologist exploring Rugby's past.

Explore and examine real objects from our stores, and dig up replica artefacts from the sand in this fun, family-friendly activity.

Just drop in - sessions run every half hour.

Little Discoveries - Hands on Fun for under 5s at Rugby Museum

Image of Hand printsWhy not enjoy family-friendly fun in the museum, specially aimed at children aged 0-5 yrs?

Your child can:

  • drop into Rugby Museum and make little discoveries with our fun activity pack
  • come along to the museum for hands-on fun on the last Friday of every month (excluding December), from 2 to 3pm.

All events will now start in the museum from 2 to 3pm, unless otherwise stated

  • Friday 24 September
    Stones and Pebbles - Listen to a story about Makka Pakka's trumpet, weigh stones and make pebble patterns.

  • Friday 1 October, 1.30pm to 2.30pm
    Special one-off Big Draw session for under 5's

Join us for painting and drawing fun in preparation for our Big Draw birthday event.

Happy Birthday to us! Celebrate our 10th anniversary at our birthday party with drawing games, badge making, face painting, party bags and much more! All sessions are free. Adults must accompany children at all times.
