The government is proposing big changes to the welfare benefits system. These changes are likely to affect you if you are claiming certain benefits including housing benefit. We have put together the information highlighting the main changes and how they may affect you.

Several changes have been announced which will effect the eligible rent levels for Housing Benefit.

The Benefits Unit operates an appointment system to work out if you are eligible for benefits, particularly if you are sick, have a low income or children.
